The Darlington County School District proudly serves over 11,000 students every day. The district is made up of 23 schools, including three magnet schools, one career and technology institute, an alternative school, and four integrated magnet programs. All Darlington County Schools are fully accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Students are challenged with strong academic programs and exceptional teaching. Over sixty National Board Certified Teachers serve in the county’s schools. The seven magnet schools and programs provide enriched curriculum opportunities in the arts, science, math and technology at all grade levels. High school students seeking an academically rigorous curriculum have many options available to them, including Advanced Placement, Duel Credit, and International Baccalaureate classes.
Through a multi-county partnership, Darlington County School District serves students with nine handicapping conditions. The district’s exceptional education department believes every child can learn and succeed.
