The Southeastern Institute for Manufacturing and Technology (SIMT) is a response to the sophisticated and specialized training needs of manufacturers in the Southeastern region. The SIMT is being planned as a three-phased, 320,000 square-foot project that will produce graduates to work in next-generation manufacturing facilities. It will also serve as an economic development resource for the Pee Dee area of South Carolina and will guarantee local business and industry a highly trained workforce.
